DBITS contracts provide project-based IT services. This contract is for services only. No hardware or software products may be sold through a DBITS contract. Contracts may be used by state and local government, public education, other public entities in Texas, as well as public entities outside the state.
All contracts have been competitively bid so you no longer have to prepare competitive solicitations or evaluate responses. DIR has done the time-consuming procurement work for you. Any Texas state, county or local government office or public education entity can participate in the Co-op Contracts program. The value of any one SOW may not exceed $5 million for state agencies (or $10 million for non-state agency DIR customers, including institutions of higher education) including all extensions, renewals, and change orders.
DBITS Ordering Process
DBITS requires acceptance of a Statement of Work (SOW) and authorization for payment of milestone tasks. DBITS contracts provide customers flexibility in IT project planning. Customers can customize their SOW according to the level of complexity of the project. For more information on DIR’s SOW process for DBITS contracts, visit the Deliverables-Based IT Services (DBITS) page.
